Documents recorded by the Registry of Deeds are public information and available for viewing at either office location or online. There is no charge for viewing documents at the Registry. The below charges will apply for filing and copying of documents. The Registry is open in Taunton from 8 am to 4 pm daily and in Attleboro from 9 am - 3:30 pm (NO Registered Land (Land Court) recordings accepted in Attleboro).

A $1 postage fee will be assessed per document unless a self-addressed stamped envelope with sufficient postage is provided at time of recording. Electronically recorded documents are exempt from this fee.
The current Excise Stamp rate is $4.56 per $1,000.00 (round up to the nearest $500 before calculating), consideration of $100.00 or less is exempt.
Excise fees and Recording Fees must be paid with separate checks. All checks should be made payable to: 'Bristol County Registry of Deeds, N.D.'

Certified copies must be made by Registry employees, and are charged according to the current copy rates. We do not charge an additional fee to certify the copies.
