Does the Registry have plot plans?

Plot plans, which show the location(s) of the improvements on a property, are not recorded at the Registry.  The plans recorded at the Registry are boundary plans which show the metes and bounds of the property.  Usually it is the city or town which requires a plot plan.  If your local health department or building department does not have a copy, check with your mortgage company.  If none of those offices have a record of a plot plan, you would need to hire a professional land surveyor to prepare one for you.
